Our Fuel Borne Catalysts team are experts in diesel additives and diesel particulate filters for both the Original Equipment and Retrofit markets. Drawing on extensive global experience in diesel fuel additives, we provide a complete technical service combined with specially developed fuel borne catalysts.

Designed for exhaust systems with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) our market-leading solutions allow the soot deposits in the filter to burn off by lowering the ignition temperature. This regenerates the DPF without the need for mechanical intervention, or compromising engine performance, or fuel economy.

Many regions across the world still rely on high-sulfur fuels. Our knowledge of fuel additives and proven chemical expertise ensures our fuel borne catalyst technology is ideally suited to all OEM and retrofit options, regardless of sulfur level.

We work closely with both OEM customers and the retrofit market to provide fuel borne catalysts. These can be used for all kinds of vehicles from cars and light vans through to heavy duty trucks. Our products work with all kinds of diesel fuels, including those with high sulfur content to optimise DPF regeneration.

  • Continuous fuel borne catalyst replenishment – avoids thermal degradation that occurs with catalytic coating
  • Adjustable fuel borne catalyst treat rate – matches soot production rate within the engine
  • Complete fuel borne catalyst regeneration – reduces the possibility of un-oxidized soot being left to pyrolize by running to completion even when the engine is switched off
  • Reduced catalyst poisoning – as the fuel borne catalyst is constantly present in the fuel, it is continuously replenished and not subject to poisoning and deactivation from compounds in the fuel or lubricant
  • Suitability for retrofit applications – a fuel borne catalyst-based DPF system is more suitable for retrofit due to a wider range of engine technologies, fuel specifications and operating duties that require reliable DPF regeneration
  • Cost efficiency – through the absence of precious metal catalysts in the DPFsystem
  • Reduction in NO2 emissions – as no precious metals are used in the fuel borne catalyst DPF filter system.
